# Illustrative Luna Repo Clinic report

This is a fictional example for explaining the deliverable. It does not describe a real repository and should not be presented as a customer result.

## Executive summary

The repository is easy to discover but difficult to run from a clean checkout. The highest-value fixes are to document the supported runtime, make CI permissions explicit, add a private security-reporting path, and pin third-party workflow actions.

## Priority queue

| Priority | Finding | Evidence | Recommended next step |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| P0 | No private security-reporting path | `SECURITY.md` absent | Add a security policy with a monitored contact or GitHub private reporting path. |
| P1 | CI permissions are implicit | Workflow has no top-level `permissions` block | Set least-privilege defaults and grant write access only to the job that needs it. |
| P1 | New checkout fails without local context | README omits runtime and environment variables | Add a five-minute quickstart, `.env.example`, and a smoke-test command. |
| P2 | Dependency updates are manual | Lockfile exists; update automation is absent | Add Dependabot/Renovate with a review cadence and ownership. |
| P2 | Third-party actions are mutable | Actions use floating major tags | Pin high-impact actions to reviewed commit SHAs and document the update process. |

## Evidence and limitations

The clinic report separates observed evidence from interpretation, records the commit/branch reviewed, and lists checks that require maintainer confirmation. It does not guarantee the absence of vulnerabilities, replace a penetration test, or make claims about code that was not inspected.

## Deliverable

The paid version includes the report, a 30-minute walkthrough, and a prioritized 7-day remediation plan. Optional implementation help is scoped separately after the maintainer approves the plan.
